I need an opinion...
So the last couple of months I got REALLY tired of my plain bedroom so I decided to paint! I painted one wall blue and the rest tan. Well I just can't decide if I like the blue wall. What does everyone think? Should I paint it the same color as the rest of the room? Anyway, I did Makenna's room a while ago too so I thought I would post a picture of her room too! Her room was the first time I have ever painted before. Now I am thinking of doing the rest of my upstairs. Dallin's only request is that he doesn't have to have anything to do with it. (He absolutely HATES painting!!)

I like it too, I love to paint and Andy says the same thing, as long as he doesn't have to help I can do it! I really like the letters on the wall, when I find a name I will have to have you tell me how to do it!
The blue looks good with the brown accents. Want to come paint mine? JK :) Makenna's room is really cute. I got lucky and Matt's parents painted James' room while I was at the hospital with Scott. It was great!
Okay you asked the wrong question. Here comes the Interior Designer in me. I used to work for an architect/interior design firm and it is my favorite class to teach.
My philosophy is use colors that compliment rather than match. I am also one for drastic color and design. I like the blue but.....
Let me ask you this... Is blue a color that you wear that looks good on you. Often we pick colors that match our accessories and what we have. But we live in these rooms and you want to look good in your home. So choose colors that look good on you.
I think maybe a darker brown would look really cool, also there are different techniques you could try. Try using a high gloss finish and a satin finish and alternate them doing stripes. Use the same color but alternate the finishes. I would love to help you out if you need anything else. This is where my heart lies. Sorry about the novel.

Trisha, I think the blue wall looks great! I love adding color to the walls, especially in the bedrooms. My bedroom also has a blue wall. I painted the wall that our bed is against. Although, let me correct myself, my dad painted our wall for us!
